Terry Thornton's love of wood working began as a hobby over 40 years ago.  Through making furniture for his own family, he discovered a passion and creative fulfillment that his business career simply couldn't provide.  After many years, Terry began to design his own furniture and broadened his repertoire to include clocks and antique restoration and reproduction.
Terry's birdhouses have found homes across Canada, the U.S., England, Finland, South Africa and the West Indies.
"It's a journey for me.  My work continues to evolve with each new piece that takes shape in my hands."
Terry and his wife Beverley have made
Port Hope, Ontario
their home.

A self taught artisan, Terry has spent many years developing his skills in all aspects of woodworking in general and woodturning in particular.  His beautiful hand turned birdhouses have become very popular as have his smaller pieces such as his birdhouse Christmas ornaments, ring holders, spurtles and of course his solid oak coat racks topped with his signature hand turned finial, and brass hooks.
